First Fund

Our First Fund Endowment is a collection of gifts and bequests that have accumulated over many decades, and been carefully managed by the Finance and First Fund Committee. The Fund has experienced substantial growth, while also providing funding for certain aspects of our church operations every year, within spending limits that ensure long term viability.

A significant part of the First Fund is the Property Fund which ensures the major maintenance projects for the building and grounds are funded without impacting the annual church budget. The General Fund provides a continual stream of income to support the church operations every year. The Manse Fund provides funds specifically for pastoral housing expenses. The Designated Gifts Fund is where all gifts for a specific purpose are housed. There are approximately 20 individual funds within this grouping, including scholarships, childrens and youth programs, the organ, senior care, etc.

The Bible asks us to be faithful stewards of our belongings and assets. Making a gift or bequest to First Fund is a statement of faith and a remembrance that is cherished by those that come after, just as we have benefitted by the giving of those who have preceded us.
