Jody LaVoie, a certified coach for widows, speaker and grief educator, brings her extensive experience as a seasoned business leader into her mission. Committed to fostering healing and growth, especially in the workplace, she elevates conversations about grief. Additionally, Jody offers corporate empathy training programs to reshape how workplaces approach bereavement support.
Jody's journey of tragedy and triumph inspired her to establish "Widows in the Workplace," a dedicated space offering support and guidance to career-focused widows seeking to Rediscover, Reimagine and Relaunch their lives after loss. Through virtual coaching sessions on platforms like Zoom, Jody extends her support to working widows globally. In 2014, a life-altering event propelled her into this mission when her husband, the founder of ArrowStream, was tragically shot by a disgruntled employee. Jody transitioned from a stay-at-home mom to the Chairman of ArrowStream, steering the company towards sustainable profitability, ultimately concluding in its sale to a private equity firm in 2017.
Jody actively contributes to philanthropy as a board member of the Sheilah A Doyle Foundation, providing support to children affected by homicide. She leads a bereavement group for the Legacy Guild, is a valued member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and proudly resides in La Grange, her hometown.
